Code of Conduct
AK (PG) College expects all students, faculty, and staff to adhere to the highest standards of ethical behavior, academic integrity, and professional conduct as outlined in the college prospectus. Our institution is built on a foundation of mutual respect, discipline, and dedication to academic excellence.
Key Rules & Regulations
- Students must be present in classes on time - punctuality is mandatory
- Maintain peace and discipline within the college campus at all times
- Vehicles must be parked only in the designated cycle/scooter stand - not at the main gate or elsewhere
- Smoking and consumption of intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited
- Read all notices displayed on the notice board regularly
- No student shall disrupt college arrangements or damage college property
- Students shall not instigate or participate in strikes or boycotts
- Distribution of handbills, pamphlets, or collection of donations is prohibited
- No discrimination based on caste, religion, region, or political affiliation - treat everyone with humanity and compassion
- College walls shall not be used for pasting or writing posters
- Found items must be deposited immediately with the office in-charge with details
- Mandatory participation in Republic Day, Independence Day, Youth Festival, Gandhi Jayanti, and Anti-Terrorism Day celebrations

Note: Students must wear the prescribed college uniform. Fee submission is only accepted when students are in proper uniform as per college rules.

Identity Card (I-Card) Requirements
- Every student must obtain an identity card at the time of admission
- Students must carry their I-card at all times - both inside and outside the college
- I-card must be presented to any authority upon request
- Entry without I-card is strictly prohibited in the college premises
- Lost I-card must be reported immediately to the office for re-issuance
Disciplinary Actions
- Discipline is maintained by the Proctorial Board under the supervision of the Principal
- Students are accountable for their conduct in college, hostels, playground, library, administrative buildings, and within the city
- Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action including fines, suspension, or expulsion
- The disciplinary committee's decision is final in all matters of indiscipline
Anti-Ragging Policy
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within and outside the college campus. The college has a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in accordance with UGC Guidelines and Supreme Court directives.
The college has constituted an Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad to monitor and prevent any incidents of ragging.

Ragging is a criminal offense punishable under law. Students and parents are advised to report any incident immediately to the Anti-Ragging Committee or the national helpline.
Sexual Harassment Policy
The college is committed to providing a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all students, faculty, and staff. Any form of sexual harassment is strictly prohibited as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
The college has constituted an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to handle complaints related to sexual harassment. The committee ensures:
- Confidential handling of all complaints
- Sensitive and empathetic approach towards complainants
- Fair and impartial investigation process
- Protection against victimization
- Awareness programs and workshops on gender sensitization
Students and staff can approach any member of the ICC or the Women's Grievance Cell to file a complaint.
Women's Security Committee: The college has a dedicated Women's Security Committee to address safety concerns and ensure a secure campus environment for all female students and staff.
Equal Opportunity & Reservation Policy
AK (PG) College is committed to providing equal opportunities to all students regardless of caste, creed, religion, gender, disability, or socioeconomic background. The college strictly follows the reservation policy of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and UGC guidelines.
Seat Reservation (as per Government of Uttar Pradesh norms):
- Scheduled Castes (SC): 21% reservation
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): 2% reservation
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27% reservation
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% reservation
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 3% reservation
- Women: 20% seats reserved in each category
- Kashmiri Migrant Students: Preference is given as per government norms
The college is committed to unity in diversity, equality, inclusion, and coexistence. Students from SC, ST, OBC, Women, Disabled, Minority, and EWS categories are all given admission as per their eligibility. Candidates are advised to contact the Principal for any assistance.
Scholarship & Student Welfare
The college provides various scholarship schemes to support meritorious and economically disadvantaged students. Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships through the Samarth Admission Portal as per government guidelines.
Student Assistance Fund
- Financial assistance is provided for books, clothing, medicines, and fee shortages
- Previous year's examination results are considered while granting assistance
- Assistance is provided to students in genuine need (SC/ST students are covered under separate government schemes)
- Maximum assistance is equal to six months of tuition fees
- Indisciplined students are not eligible for assistance

Important: Scholarship applications must be submitted online through the government portal. 75% attendance is mandatory for scholarship eligibility as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules. Scholarship amount is directly transferred to the student's bank account (any nationalized bank).
Student Support Services
Grievance Redressal Mechanism
The college has a well-defined Grievance Redressal Committee to address complaints and concerns. Students can submit grievances through:
- Online grievance portal (available on college website)
- Physical complaint box in the administrative block
- Direct submission to the Grievance Redressal Committee
NCC, NSS & Rover Rangers
Students at the undergraduate level can select two activities from NCC, NSS, and Rover/Rangers. The college has a dedicated NCC unit - 5 UP NCC Battalion, Shikohabad Office established on campus since 2014.
Educational Tours & Field Work
For subjects requiring educational tours, students must pay the tour fee at the time of admission. This fee is used exclusively for educational purposes and field camps.
Hostel Facilities
The college provides separate hostels for male and female students. Hostel accommodation is mandatory for students from outside districts in B.Ed., M.Ed., B.T.C., B.P.Ed., and B.Sc. (Agriculture) programs.
- Hostel session: July 1 to June 30
- Hostel must be vacated by June 30; re-admission is required from July 1 for the next session
- Mess facility is available and operated by students on a cooperative basis
- Solar system provides electricity in the hostels
